Photo Gameday uses State of the Art Canon Digital SLR's and some of the same High Speed Lenses used to shoot the Pro's. This equipment coupled with more that 30 years of sports photography experience ensure you the best photographic results available.
A Note on Resolution
The pictures posted on this website require lower resolution and quality for the server to perform at a reasonable speed. The actual digital picture from the camera is much higher quality and will provide a much better print.
High Resolution Camera Photo (This is a big file and will take a minute to load, Once it loads you may have to click on it to see the actual size and detail) This high resolution allows for the best available digital prints on orders of any picture size.
Why do my orders need to wait for Approval??
At PhotoGameDay.com we review and adjust every photo ordered for the best possible cropping, exposure and color correction. When you place an order the digital negative is loaded into an editing package to make adjustments before the final picture is printed. This extra step allows us to ship you the best possible prints. The printing service will do some level of color correction on some of the larger prints. Please note the 4x6 menu indicates that your pictures are not color corrected. This is only true in that the printing service has not color corrected your print. I look at every order and adjust the exposure, cropping and color and upload a color corrected image for every print ordered.
What is Color Correction
A computer monitor renders color differently than a professional photo printing machine. The trick for a photographer is to get the image on the screen to be identical to the image printed by the printing service. Many photographers won't spend the money and time required or do the research to calibrate their equipment to the printing service. At PhotogameDay.com all off our monitors are calibrated using state of the art Datacolor Spider3 Professional colorimeters. This insures you the best color quality available on your prints.
Picture Size
All photos on the website are cropped and sized for 4x6 pictures. When you order an enlarged print I reload the digital negative and reprocess the image for for correct size and cropping. An example is a 5x7 and a 4x6. The cropping is different so the image is reloaded and reprocessed for optimum printing. Enlargements need a higher resolution file. If you order a picture larger than 4x6 the digital negative is reloaded and a new file is generated at the correct resolution for the enlargement. All photos are reviewed to make sure you receive the best possible print.
What else is available?
If you come across a picture that you really like but perhaps has some issues ( Acne, those darn little black pellets that are part of today's football surfaces, or whatever. Please contact me before placing the order. I can correct many of those issue, but I need to know before the order is placed and there is a small charge for this service.

Photo Gameday will feature your child with advanced notice. Please Contact me here and send your childs number and team. (e.g. John Doe, #51, JV Orange.
If your child happens not to wear a number. Send me the name and what they do. (trainer, cheerleader, Mr. Warrior, trumpet player or whatever and I'll do my best to get a picture or two.
